5-Days Chardham Yatra By Helicopter Tour

One day, my parents thought of going to Chardham Yatra by Helicopter and  booked Chardham Yatra by helicopter package from Leisure India Holidays LIH for 4 Nights and 5 days. I was very excited about this tour as it is an adventurous tour also amidst the snow-clad mountains and greenery of Nature. And I have never been to any such place before, so I was waiting for this tour to start from the day we had booked the package, and on May 4th, we started our journey of LIH Chardham yatra by Helicopter.

Day-wise Itinerary of Chardham Yatra by Helicopter:-

Day of Arrival:- Dehradun

On May 5, 2019, we have reached the starting point of our Journey Dehradun from the city Jaipur. We have reached Dehradun almost 15 hours from the train Uttranchal express, which is the only direct train of Dehradun from Jaipur. After reaching Dehradun, our guide from lih travel will come to receive us on the Dehradun railway station and take us to one of the luxurious hotels in Dehradun named Lemon tree.

We have taken our dinner there, which is quite delicious. Now, after making dinner, we were back in our room to sleep so that we can relax after the hectic traveling of Jaipur to Dehradun. The company of lih books this stay and the dinner and next morning breakfast are also included in the inclusions of LIH Chardham Yatra by Helicopter package.

Day 1:- Dehradun to Yamunotri:-

On the next day of the trip, we are recommended by the guide to leave early in the morning. Our guide has taken us to the Sahastradhara helipad at Dehradun from the Lemon Tree hotel. In this journey of sahastradhara to Kharsali, travel guide has instructed do’s and don’t and gave a brochure in which the list with time is mentioned which we have to follow in our trip.

Now, at the arrival of the Kharsali helipad in Yamunotri, the handler has transferred our luggage to the Shiv Shakti eco-resorts.

After reaching the hotel, we have taken our breakfast and leave for the Yamunotri, which is a 5 Km trekking Journey. But the palki and ponnie facility is already arranged by the company for us. The entire scene of Nature is worth-watching amidst the greenery of Nature. After the Journey of almost 5 Km trek, we reached the Yamunotri temple, where we have provided with pooja Samagri basket. We have done pooja/Archana there and back to the hotel at lunchtime.

We have taken our lunch in the hotel and relax there for some time after the divine darshan at Yamunotri temple.

In the evening, we went to see the ancient Shani temple situated in the Kharsali. After returning from there, we have taken dinner and spend the night in the hotel.

Day 2:- Yamunotri to Gangotri:-

In the early morning on Day 2 of our trip, we have left at 7:45 am from the hotel to fly from the Kharsali helipad to the Harsil helipad in Gangotri. Our guide takes us to the Kharsali helipad from the hotel and gives us some general guidelines during our journey from Yamunotri to Gangotri.

At 8:30, within 45 minutes, we reach the harsil helipad in Gangotri. Gangotri is popularly known as the “Mini Switzerland of India”. Our handler has taken us to the Himalayan nature resort from the helipad where we have made breakfast.

After all this, we headed towards the Gangotri darshan in a car, and in the route, we have seen some fantastic picturesque and breathtaking scenes. It almost takes 50 mins. To reach the Gangotri temple, The Company has provided a VIP darshan facility to us, which is included in the package of Chardham Yatra by Helicopter.

We have reached the hotel at lunchtime. The hotel is situated in the middle of the apple orchards, the river flowing inside the hotel and surrounded by mountains that are covered with snow. We visited the temple in a cab for evening aarti and back to the hotel at dinner time. Our day is finished with the delicious dinner and an evening bonfire.

Day 3:- Gangotri to Kedarnath:-

On the morning of Day 3, we have taken a substantial breakfast because directly we were visiting the Kedarnath temple. At 9:30 am, we went for the phata helipad in Kedarnath from the Harsil helipad in Gangotri within half an hour, where we have to wait for almost 1 hour because of shuttle slots.

After 1 hour of waiting, we have moved from the phata helipad to the Kedarnath helipad, and en route, I have seen beautiful Nature, snow-clad mountains, and sky blue color of the sky from the high above.

We have reached the helipad of Kedarnath and cover a distance of 700 meters from Kedarnath helipad to Kedarnath temple by pithu.

We have got 2 hours for VIP darshan and Jal Abhishek at Kedarnath temple. Now, after darshan and Jal Abhishek, we have taken to the Kedarnath helipad to guptkashi. I have mesmerized with the beauty of Kedarnath, and spend some beautiful moments there amidst the snow-clad Himalayas and lush green mountains.

We have reached Guptkashi from Kedarnath helipad at 3:00 am and move forward to the hotel that booked in guptkashi. One more day of our Chardham yatra by Helicopter ends with the tasty lip-smacking dinner, and then after dinner, we slept in our hotel.

Day 4:- Kedarnath to Badrinath:-

At 10:00 am, we have left the guptkashi helipad and reach Badrinath helipad at 10:45 am. Now, after that, our guide will take us to the hotel booked in Badrinath, where we have taken the breakfast and left for VIP darshan and special puja at Badrinath temple.

From Badrinath temple, we went to the Mana village, which is the last village in India on the indo-china border. We have also visited the Vishnu Sahasranamam path in the evening.

After all this sightseeing we went to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5:- Badrinath to Dehradun:-

After having breakfast, we have left from the Badrinath helipad to sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun. And our journey of Chardham yatra by Helicopter has ended with a fantastic experience and so many memories.

And on the next day on May 11, we have left the Dehradun and head towards Jaipur after visiting some sights in Dehradun.

On my Journey to Chardham Yatra by Helicopter, I have enjoyed a lot and experience some refreshing moments. So, this is my whole Journey of Unforgettable Chardham Yatra by Helicopter. The scenery there is eye-treating, and this Journey of Chardham Yatra by Helicopter becomes Unforgettable for me.
