 Somnath Temple

Extremely famed temple in Gujarat is the Somnath Temple. Somnath Temple exists from ancient times and is named as the most heavenly temple in Gujarat. It is the Lord Shiva’s temple which is presently managed by Shri Somnath trust. There is a very notable story behind the construction of this temple. People say this temple was genuinely built by moon god in gold but then rebuilt by Lord Ravana in silver. After lord Ravana, the temple was renovated in woods by Lord Krishna and lastly by Bhimdev renovated it in stone. The temple has a mesmerizing view as it is built near the sea and has very beautiful architecture.

 Dwarkadash Temple

In Hinduism, people believe in Chardham yatra which is said to be a path towards ‘Moksha’. Dwarkadash Temple is known as a part of Chardham yatra. The temple has 5 floors which are Bukit on 60 columns. The temple has a very sublime craving on the walls. Dwarkadash Temple is over 2500 years old which attracts many devotees from around the globe. There are two entrance doors in the temple one is in the south and the other one in the north. The door facing south is known as the gate of heaven and the door facing north is known as the door of salvation.

 

 

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple was found in the year 1992 in Gandhi Nagar. The temple has 23 acres long lawns which are managed by Swaminarayan group. The temple has a park for kids, a beautiful, and a herbal garden. Akshardham temple is much known for its 4 minutes water show which is programmed after sunset. Bala Hanuman Mandir

Bala Hanuman Mandir was established in the year 1963-64 by prem Bhikshuji. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The name of this famous temple resides in the Guinness Book of World Records because of the continuous chant of ‘Shri Ram, Jai Jai Ram” from August 1st, 1964. Visiting hours start by 6 in the morning and ends at 10 in the night.

Rukmani Temple

Rukmani Temple, dedicated to goddess Rukmani, consort of Lord Krishna is popular due to beautiful carvings and the splendidly designed panels it has. Rukmani Temple is quite a small temple 45kms away from Jamnagar Airport. On one of the panels, there are human sculptures or ‘Naratharas’ and the other panel has elephants on the base. In fact, the inner sanctum of the temple has an idol of Goddess Rukmani along with Lord Krishna. The structure was built up around the 12th century. The walls of the temple are adorned with creative yet splendid paintings that depict or say portray events of Goddess Rukmani with Load Krishna. People visit this temple from 5 in the morning to 12 in the noon and from 4 in the evening till 9 in the night. People fascinated about architecture must visit this temple.

Sun Temple

 Sun Temple, popularly belong to the Solanki Dynasty of the 11th century, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha, and Shiva. This temple, founded by King Bhimdev, is placed on a hillock in Modhera. Positioned in the list of most beautiful temples in Gujarat, it is structured in such a way that sun ways direct strike on the image of Surya chakra, from sunrise to sunset. Beautifully carved pillars with sculptures of gods and demons are embraced by each visitor. The temple is segmented into 3 parts- namely Surya Kund, Sabha Mandap and Guda Mandap. One mustn’t miss visiting step-wells in sun temple.
